Delaware Walk and Wine Friends did an 8 day self guided hike on the Dingle Way aka Kerry Camino trail in County Kerry Ireland September 3-10, 2026. We arrived in Dublin at 6:30 am, had breakfast then took a 4 hour train ride to Tralee where our hike began. Five of us hiked the hills and mountains, climbed many stiles onto sheep and cattle farms, crossed several rivers and walked along country roads “boreens”. On day 5 of our trip 3 members hiked over Mt Brandon and experienced the dramatic weather changes the mountain is known for, after each hike we enjoyed a pint of Guinness at local pubs. The Irish people of County Kerry are hard working, very kind people who radiate an aura of contentment, joy and love of life. This hike was customized for us by Ireland Walk Hike Bike of Tralee.
